Lithuania, one of the 3 Baltic countries, has recently emerged as a desirable location for international corporate investment. Because of the country’s key business advantages, such as its convenient geographical location, low corporate tax rates, highly educated population, developed logistics, and labor costs four times lower than the EU average, many international investors select a growing number of international investors in Lithuania for business outsourcing.

The Lithuanian Immigration Law allows for applying for a residence visa for up to one year based on commercial investments. However, to acquire a temporary residency permit in Lithuania, the investment must meet the following criteria:

  • A corporation has at least EUR 28 000 in share capital
  • A firm conducts simple economic operations and pays minimal taxes,
  • The existence of an investor is required for a company’s commercial activities.
